Join us on December 12 at 5pm to immerse yourself in indigenous culture\, take part in a deep healing Mayan Cacao Ceremony guided by Jose Ajpu Munoz (a Mayan Time Keeper)\, participate in a charity benefit silent auction\, and share a potluck meal with the community.  \nYou all have the opportunity to engage with elders from all walks of life and listen to them speak\, disclosing subjects relevant to the past\, present\, and future of humanity.  \nCapacity is limited\, so be sure to RSVP soon & receive the event location by contacting Darcy Cleome at darcy@darcycleome.com. \nAdmission donations ($20 suggested)\, and proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Giving To Change\, a California non-profit that develops\, initiates and amplifies earth-based leadership\, systems of reciprocity\, wellness\, aligned action\, and creative\, ecologically sound technologies. \nPlease bring any snacks\, appetizers\, or drinks you would like to share (no alcohol).  \nBe sure to wear layers to stay warm as some of our activities will be outdoors. SUMMARY:International Observe the Moon Night
DESCRIPTION:This October 1st from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm Beautify Cambria will host International Observe the Moon Night! \nThe space-themed event will be an opportunity to join a global movement centered around observing the wonders of our night sky and learning about lunar science. Beautify Cambria will provide refreshments\, put on a silent auction\, and allow access to powerful telescopes for moon & stargazing. \nDavid Breda\, the lead engineer on the James Webb Telescope at NASA’s JPL\, will speak at the event. He will give a presentation about the project and display some of Webb’s most spectacular photographs on a big screen. He’ll also share about the upcoming Artemis mission to the Moon! \nProceeds will support Beautify Cambria’s Dark Skies Initiative\, which is seeking to reduce light pollution and gain Dark Sky designation for Cambria.
