DESCRIPTION:This Thursday April 28 at 6:30 pm Cambria Center for The Arts will run a special one-night-only showing of Julia Blue\, a film that follows the journey of a young student activist in Ukraine who develops an unlikely bond with a wounded soldier. \n \nThis showing will serve as an opportunity for the Cambria community to learn more about the country of Ukraine\, and support the Ukrainian people. \nThe event will also feature a pre-recorded interview with the lead actor who is still in Kyiv. After the film\, Cambria Center for the Arts will host a live Zoom call with the film’s director. \nThe showing itself is free with a reservation\, donations are requested. All donations made to attend the event\, including the purchase of wine or snacks at the reception\, will go directly to Nova Ukraine. Those unable to attend are encouraged to make an online donation if desired. \nTo reserve seats and make donations to the benefit’s cause please do so through the Julia Blue Benefit ticket page.

DESCRIPTION:This February 14th beginning at 6 PM the American Legion will host its annual Valentine’s Day Dinner!\n\n\nThis formal romantic dinner will feature a delicious meal skillfully prepared & served by American Legion Auxillary members. The menu includes grilled steak with a robust mushroom wine sauce\, potatoes seasoned with fragrant rosemary\, roasted broccoli\, a rich clam chowder\, freshly baked dinner rolls & a decadent dessert. Guests are welcome to bring their own bottle of wine or enjoy beverages on-site at the Legion’s bar.\n\nThe event also offers door prizes! This evening of celebration is a fundraiser\, and all proceeds go directly back into the Cambria community and benefit veterans in SLO County.\n\nThe meal is available for dine-in or carry-out\, tickets may be purchased at the Legion\, at 1000 Main Street in Cambria. Please be sure to purchase tickets in advance – there will be no “at door” ticket sales.
