About Robins Restaurant

A passion for wholesome and fresh.

Inspiration is drawn from world cuisines. Robin Covey and Shanny Covey first began serving wholesome fare in the back room of a small health food store in Cambria.

The popularity of their dishes allowed them to soon expand and open Robin’s, which was then located on Bridge Street. Five years after opening, Robin & Shanny moved the restaurant to a historic adobe house on Burton Drive.

The spacious garden setting, rustic nooks, and warm fireplace meshed appropriately with the handcrafted meals that Robin’s had become renowned for. Chow. Tempeh. Cioppino. Curry, and the largest selection of unique vegetarian dishes on the coast. Robin continues to lead with inspirational cuisine.

The culinary team combines artful flavors with the area’s cornucopia of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and wines. Robin and Shanny decided to share Robin’s philosophy with San Luis Obispo, just south of Cambria.

In 2003, Robin opened Novo in downtown San Luis Obispo, and in 2010, the business partners opened Luna Red.
